After ten years, the research vessel OGS Explora of the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS) is going back to Antarctica.
The reserach vessel OGS Explora is sailed from the port of Hobart (Australia) on January 18 to reach the Ross Sea (Antarctica).
The objective of the scientific expedition is to study the impact of climate change on past Antarctic Ice Sheet volume fluctuations, affecting global sea level rise and fall.
