Geological-structural field survey of fold and thrust belts, particularly applied at the characterization of the geometry and kinematics of the tectonic structures and at the reconstruction of the tectonic evolution;
Onshore and offshore seismostratigraphic interpretation of 2D and 3D multichannel seismic profiles and well data for the identification and characterization of potential sites, that is reservoir-caprock systems, suitable for CO2 geological storage in siliciclastic and carbonate successions. Assessments on the level of seismicity and on the presence of possible active faults;
Construction of 3D geological model, after time-depth conversion, of the interpreted geological features. Evaluation of the focal mechanisms of earthquakes to understand the stress field;

Interpretation of high resolution morphobathymetry data and chirp profiles to produce geohazard maps of continental margins.
