Flavio Accaino

He received a Laurea in Geology (1991) and a PHD in Applied Geophyscs (1998) from the University of Trieste. After a grant in University of Trieste, from 2000 he is a researcher at OGS. He worked on acquisition, processing and inversion of land and marine seismic reflection/ refraction 2D and 3D data. using multichannel seismic data and OBS (Ocean Bottom Seismometer) data. From 2005 he ha s a permanent positon as Technologist at OGS. Presently, he works on: 1) Processing of reflection and refraction seismic crustal data; 2) Standard and non-conventional processing of geophysical data, such as pre-stack depth migration, seismic inversion; 3) processing and inversion of land and marine seismic data; 4)nversion of high resolution seismic data to extract information like as velocities of compressional and shear waves for seismological site characterisation He works on processing and inversion of seismic data (land and marine data) since 10 years ago.
